# Visit Langelandsfortet – It’s easy to get there

## How to Find Your Way to Langelandsfortet

Langelandsfortet is beautifully situated in the scenic landscape at the southern end of Langeland, just outside Bagenkop. Surrounded by open countryside and close to the coast, the museum offers a unique combination of history, nature and fresh air.

The museum is easy to reach, whether you are travelling by **** car, bicycle or public transport. The journey to Langelandsfortet takes you through the beautiful landscape of southern Langeland, and the trip itself can be part of the experience.

### Travelling by car

If you are arriving by car, Langelandsfortet is located north of Bagenkop. Follow the signs towards the museum, where you will find parking facilities close to the entrance.

### Travelling by bicycle

Langeland is a wonderful place to explore by bicycle, and Langelandsfortet makes a great stop on a cycling trip around the island. You can enjoy the countryside and coastal landscape on your way to the museum.

### Travelling by public transport

It is also possible to reach Langelandsfortet by public transport. If you are travelling by bus, check the current routes and timetables before your journey, as services may vary depending on the season.

                                    By car

From Rudkøbing: Follow the road south towards Bagenkop. The fort is located a few kilometres before the town and is clearly signposted from the main road.

There is free parking at the museum.

                                    Public Transport

Bus services from Rudkøbing and Svendborg stop at the main road. From the bus stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the fort.

                                    By bike or on foot

Langelandsfortet is located on scenic trails along the coast, perfect for a bike ride or hike with history as your destination. The shortest and easiest route from Bagenkop to Langelandsfortet is via the country road. Alternative routes – for example via Vognsbjergvej – are longer, but the trip is more scenic and takes you through the open countryside around the fort.
