Langelandsfortet is a large and engaging museum where history can be experienced both indoors and outdoors. On the site, you can explore the original bunkers and military installations and get up close to historic vehicles, cannons, aeroplanes and vessels. You can also board a real submarine and experience the cramped conditions in which the crew worked.

The museum’s exhibitions tell the story of the Cold War and Denmark’s role during a period marked by tensions between East and West. Among other things, you can learn more about military preparedness, espionage, surveillance and intelligence – as well as the everyday lives of the people who worked and served at the fort.
